Join us for Brunch, Bokashi & Mud Balls  at Jimmy's No. 43, 43 East Village NYC in the back room
(7th St and 2nd Ave)  

Suggested contribution for materials: $5.00 (voluntary)
Jimmy's has made us some specials:  $5 Beer and  $5 brunch!   (the food is organic from local farms) 

Help us Keep the ball rolling... flinging. Donations are wonderful, for sponsorship interest in watershed bioremediation projects contact us.

1:00pm - Pickle Kitchen Scraps For Growing Food At Home

Fermenting food waste, fertilizing pots and planters with fermented food waste, and making the fermentation starter.  For images of past events go to www.moscollective.net

2:30pm - 5:00pm Mud balls & Cleaning

Making mudballs and homemade cleaning solution.  The microbes eat waste & pollution.   The good microbes make your hands soft :)


2000 Mud Balls for a Summer Fling: 
Help make 2000 Mud Balls cleaning a NY waterway!  In other countries they make one million and call it One Million Apologies for Mother Earth. How many could NYC contribute? The MoS Collective has a kickoff to make 2000 mud balls for a Summer Fling.  If you have extra donate milk crates to stack them in.

Upcoming "Muddy Nights":
We will be planning NEW evenings where we just make activated and make mud balls for events.

Instructor:
Shig Matsukawa, instructor, (www.RecycleFoodWaste.org) has been working with activated EM-1 for 20 years. Formerly researcher at the EMRO Japan Foundation. He is working at El Sol Community Garden fermenting food waste with members Susan and Barbara. Last year alone they fermented 2 tons and made their own rich soil for growing more food and healthy plants.
